Matilda's Lesli Margherita Lands Role Opposite Topher Grace & Taye Diggs in Movie Musical One Shot

All hail the queen! Olivier winner, Matilda star and former Broadway.com Vlogger Lesli Margherita has been tapped for the musical comedy One Shot, according to Deadline. As previously reported, the film will also star Taye Diggs and Topher Grace.

One Shot follows a failed Great White Way alum (Grace) who now stage manages productions and is working on a new show. Margherita will play Brandy, a brassy chorus girl who bets the flamboyant Malcom (Diggs) that she’ll sleep with a hot company member first.

Margherita won the Olivier for her performance in Zorro in London's West End. Additional theater credits include Man of La Mancha, Showboat, Little Shop of Horrors, Spamalot, She Loves Me and Damn Yankees. Her TV and film credits include Fame LA, Charmed, NYPD Blue and The Number 23.
